The Audit Associate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, including disclosures, applying fundamental areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, verifying, testing and evaluating various control systems. This position may be involved in reviewing and agreeing procedures. The Audit Associate will be expected to travel as necessary to meet firm and client needs.
Salary will be commensurate with candidate's experience and qualifications.
Salary range: $72,000-$75,000
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or statistics, required or bachelor's degree in other focus area and CPA certification required
Masters in Accountancy, preferred
Leadership experience, preferred
Accounting oriented internship, preferred
Eligible to sit for the CPA exam upon commencement of employment, required
Actively pursuing CPA exam completion, preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, required
Other preferred knowledge, skills and abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow instructions given
Ability to work effectively in a team setting
Ability and willingness to travel as needed
Takes appropriate action without asking
Basic understanding and experience planning and coordinating phases for performing an audit of a basic public and/or private company
