There is an immediate job opening for an Armed Security Officer in SSC. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for conducting unarmed foot patrol within a government, corporate, retail or fast food environment while providing superior service to customers, visitors and employees. Additional duties include writing reports, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, controlling access and egress, preventing criminal activity and misconduct and performing other duties as required. Functional responsibilities may include:

Responsible for administrative and coordination activities in support of security service delivery; Coordinate with customer personnel to ensure timely identification, processing and deployment of clear guards, surveillance technicians and other security personnel; All routine aspects of access/exit processes to ensure compliance with agency security; and access control policies and procedures. Education, licensure and certification required

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driving license
• Must comply with state requirements for security guard licensure.

Experience required

• Verifiable work history if previously employed and must include one or more of the following:

• Graduation from an accredited high school or a certificate of completion of general education development requirements; and meet one of the following experience/education requirements:
• Five (5) years of security experience within the last ten years; OR Five (5) years of civilian and/or military work experience or three (3) years of law enforcement or public safety experience.
