Basic purpose

To provide members and prospective members with the full range of products and services offered by Navy Federal Credit Union, including depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificated IRAs, revocable trusts and estate accounts; loan products; and credit/debit cards. Performing moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision.

Responsibility

  • Analyze, research and resolve member account/loan related issues and discrepancies
  • Assist members in submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loans, overdraft protection and credit card applications
  • Advise current and prospective members about Navy Federal's products and services
  • Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly
  • Identify opportunities to increase service product cross and product penetration
  • Perform platform-banking functions
  • Understand and comply with federal and other regulations related to financial products and services
  • Branch office can assist with vault opening, closing and balancing process
  • A branch office and/or ATM may act as vault custodian
  • Perform other duties as assigned  click hare


Qualification

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of savings and checking products, accounts and services
  • Effective active listening skills to accurately respond to inquiries and account requests

  • Effective research, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Desirable - Member/Customer Service experience in a call center, retail banking or financial institution
  • Desired - Experience working in a credit union environment

 

Hours: Monday-Saturday Available: Hours based on business needs.


Location: 8960 Brown Drive, Building 2, Bethesda, MD 20889

Salary Range: $21.50 per hour to $25.00 per hour
