Full job description
As an Associate Banker, you will be at the forefront of delivering an exceptional customer experience to our clients and potential customers. Acting as the "Face of Chase", you will interact with customers and assist them with all their banking needs. Our associate bankers work a rotating schedule, which may include a weekend shift. All associate bankers are eligible for Chase's full benefits package including health insurance, paid time off and a track for career growth beyond being a licensed banker.
Unlike a traditional bank teller role, our associate bankers contribute significantly to the branch's success by helping customers. Our Associate Bankers:
Engage clients by welcoming them as they enter the branch and making them feel appreciated, including managing lobby traffic, checking clients in waiting queues and scheduling/cancelling client meetings.
Assist clients with daily transactions such as reordering a debit card, setting up a direct deposit or updating their address while maintaining established control standards.
Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently while complying with all policies, procedures and regulatory and banking requirements.
Educate clients on the use of technology self-service options such as the Chase mobile app, Chase.com, and ATMs to meet their banking needs, whenever, wherever and however they want.
Assist client and branch team by helping to open new accounts as needed.
Engage and partner with team members and other lines of business to offer the most appropriate products and tools to help clients meet their financial goals.
Your ability to work in diverse teams to deliver solutions as well as learn products, services and procedures quickly and accurately will be critical to your success. Demonstrating our "One Chase" product portfolio to clients and potential clients will also be a key aspect of your role.
Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience (eg retail, sales, financial services).
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
Prior experience in financial services, banking, retail or client facing customer service is highly preferred.
Demonstrates an ability to learn new technologies, products and features, as well as a strong desire to influence, educate and connect customers with technology.
Demonstrates ability to make personal connections, engage customers, and remain courteous and professional in a team environment.
Demonstrates trust with clients while sharing product knowledge and solutions.
Has excellent interpersonal communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail and time management.
Remains professional, thorough and organized with strong follow-up skills.
Has active listening skills to ensure the best path is identified for each customer.
Has the drive, initiative and knowledge to provide financial options for customers using a consultative approach.
